FiniteFabric makes printable puzzles, invitations and large-print puzzle books. This page explains what happens to your information when you visit books.finitefabric.com, when you ask for our free bonus puzzles, when you see our posts on Facebook and Instagram, and when you buy from us. Questions: [email protected].
This website
- Most pages ask you for nothing. The one exception is our free bonus puzzle page, described below. We set no cookies of our own and add no analytics or advertising trackers.
- Our web host, Cloudflare, processes the technical details of each visit (such as your IP address and browser type) to deliver the pages and keep the site secure, and it may set a short-lived security cookie for that purpose.
- Some pages load fonts from Google Fonts and book covers from Amazon, so those companies see your IP address when your browser fetches them.
- Our links to Amazon carry an Amazon Attribution tag, and some links to Etsy carry a label naming the page they sit on. These tell us how many visits each page sends, not who you are.
When you get our free bonus puzzles
- What we collect:
- your email address;
- anything you choose to tell us: your first name, who the puzzles are for, what's coming up, your age range, favourite themes, print size and where you heard about us;
- which book or page sent you, and your country (from your connection; we don't store your IP address with your answers).
- Why, and on what basis:
- We use your email to send you the pack you asked for.
- We use your optional answers, because we have a legitimate interest, to decide which puzzles and books to make next.
- We send you other emails only if you tick the box and confirm, and you can withdraw that consent at any time with the unsubscribe link.
- Who handles it: our email provider Brevo (Brevo SAS, France), which stores it on servers in the EU (France and Belgium) on our behalf.
- How long we keep it:
- If you don't subscribe, we delete your email and answers after 30 days.
- If you subscribe, we keep them until you unsubscribe. We then keep a record of your consent for 2 years so we can show we had it.
- Free review copies: if you ask to be considered and we pick you, we use your postal address only to post the book and delete it once it arrives.
- Age: this offer is for adults 18 and over.
We're registered with the ICO, registration ZC272942.
When you buy
You buy on Etsy or Amazon, under their own privacy policies. We receive only the order details those platforms share with sellers, and we use them only to complete your order and answer your questions about it. For printed items, your name and delivery address go to the print partner that makes and posts your order.
We use order details to fulfil your order, and emails and site logs because we have a legitimate interest in running the business.
Our Facebook and Instagram app
We use a Meta app called FiniteFabric Publisher only to publish posts to our own Facebook Page and Instagram account. It does not log you in. It can read our own posts and their likes and comments, but it stores nothing about the people who interact with them. Comments and messages you send us on Facebook or Instagram stay on those platforms, under Meta's privacy policy.
Deleting your data
Our app stores no information about you, so there is nothing in it to delete. To delete anything else we hold, such as emails or order details, email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my data". We'll confirm within 30 days, keeping only the records tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, at the email above. If you're unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
